Mothers and Depression – Study Day

Study day on postnatal depression and how the infant feeding relationship can impact on maternal mental health, with expert speakers:
Kathleen Kendall-Tackett PhD IBCLC FAPA: a leading authority on maternal depression and the relationship between breastfeeding and depression
and
Wendy Jones PhD MRPharmS: Specialist Pharmacist with expertise in the safety of Drugs in Breastmilk and lead on the Breastfeeding Network’s Drugs in Breastmilk Helpline.
The day includes lunch and a chance to network with colleagues. The event is hosted by LCGB in association with GPIFN and The BfN Drugs in Breastmilk Helpline.
The GP Infant Feeding Network (GPIFN) a growing community of primary care professionals with an interest in improving GP education on infant feeding and breastfeeding.
The Lactation Consultants of Great Britain (LCGB) the professional association for International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs) in the UK
The Drugs in Breastmilk Helpline (DIBM), a service run by the charity The Breastfeeding Network, which offers support and information to families and healthcare professionals on the safety of drugs in breastmilk.
The study day is suitable for GPs and GP Specialist Trainees, Health Visitors, Midwives, Pharmacists and other Health Care Professionals working with new families, as well as IBCLCs and Breastfeeding Peer Supporters.
